The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.
But this year, as protests across the Middle East have actually risen the rate of oil, the problem of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In an area that has among the greatest carbon footprints worldwide, one organization is making the most of the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving rewarding too, currently their client-list includes McDonald's.
